Homeopathic practitioner Robert Scott Bell remarked that healing the gut will also heal the liver and the immune system.
“Healing the gut is healing the liver as well, and healing the immune system – the home for the microbiome. To protect you from infection when you have liver disease, for instance, we talked about many things that can address infection. [These include] silver, other immuno-modulators, echinacea and probiotics in general,” he said during a recent episode of “The Robert Scott Bell Show” on Brighteon.TV.
According to Bell, there are several ways to prevent infections in people with cirrhosis – severe liver scarring. He mentioned that the nutrient selenium, alongside different herbs and homeopathic preparations, as effective for liver drainage support. “Super Don” Naylor, the program’s executive producer and co-host, mentioned an article about an experimental treatment called “crap-sules” being tested in the United Kingdom. The said clinical trial seeks to test the effectiveness of fecal transplants for patients suffering from advanced liver disease. It will reportedly examine whether the feces of healthy people freeze-dried and turned into capsules reduces the likelihood of cirrhosis patients contracting infections.
According to research, patients with liver damage have higher levels of “bad” bacteria in their gut than healthy people – making them more liable to catch pathogens that regular antibiotics cannot treat. The “crap-sules” supposedly contain “good” bacteria will be scrutinized if they can improve the gut health of cirrhosis patients. About 300 people are expected to participate in the trial, according to Sky News.
King’s College London lecturer Dr. Lindsey Edwards, one of the clinical trial’s leaders, hopes the tests will help patients with advanced liver diseases decrease the need for antibiotics advancement.
“There is an urgent and unmet need to tackle infection and antimicrobial resistance in chronic liver disease,” she said. “If we can boost liver patients’ own immunity to reduce infections by modifying the microbiome, we can reduce the need for the prescription of antibiotics.”
Researchers have reportedly found evidence of the “crap-sules” with good bacteria having a positive effect.
“What does it mean? It means your immune system is indeed primarily sourced in the gut with the microbiome. Enhancing the health of the gut is enhancing the immune response,” Bell said.
Naylor agreed, saying that the article acknowledges the liver-gut connection. He continued that a healthy gut is necessary to heal the liver, and the natural “crap-sules” can serve this purpose.
The executive producer remarked that people shouldn’t be averse to taking it – especially if it is sanitary, sterile and in a capsule.
According to Naylor, the people who joined the clinical trial probably tried out other conventional things that likely did not work. He said: “This is not their first line of defense. This might be the thing that they go to when they have tried things that haven’t worked.”
Bell ultimately remarked that the “crap-sules” are a solution that isn’t a synthetic drug, but a natural material that can be ingested.
